Default 97 Low Rider Mods for 2 Up

1st post & 1st time uploading a photo so I may have to edit this later. I recently bought a 1997 Lowrider with the intention of riding 2 up with my wife. Details:

-Stock seat, passenger is comfortable but my butt gets numb after 20 minutes
-Shocks & front end oxidized
-Severe front end dive
-Wish to replace bags with brown, unadorned saddlebags

I'd like to make it look sort of like a late 60's/early 70's old school style. I'm debating between a wide glide or springer front end.

I'm on the road a lot so while I will be checking this post often I may not answer questions promptly.

Thanks in advance

Spleen

Well, I'm no help. I just bought my 98 LR bout 2 months ago. I'm still learning my way around it.

Maybe I'd have better luck if I posted this in the Dyna Glide forum.

-Stock seat, passenger is comfortable but my butt gets numb after 20 minutes. Get use to it. You have a sport bike. You will after a few miles.
-Shocks & front end oxidized , Clean, or replace
-Severe front end dive Stock front ends do that. When you clean the front end replace your springs with progressive springs to stiffen it a bit. You will like it allot better.

You can probably find a more comfortable aftermarket seat like a Sundowner or Mustang, ask some questions as to which is more comfortable. Oxidation can be removed if it's light, you will most likely have to replace or powder coat or chrome. Putting different springs in the front will fix it, but before spending the cash, try replacing fork oil with Screaming Eagle Heavy, it worked wonders on my front end.

well I have a `98 lowrider. I alreayd have a after market wide glide fornt end with 5 deg in the trees and a sundowner rear seat. The seats great for long hauls and the missus loves it when she rides on the back. I also haver a low profile seat sat waiting to go on and am looking at puting an different forn end is as even with a pair pre 99 tiwn disc set up it aint up handleing the 124" engine. So you never know the front end moght be up for sale soon.
