I've got a 1998 FXSTC and I want to replace the bars with 1 1/4" internally wired burly bars. Now, I've taken measurements of my current bars but I'm not entirely sure I'm reading it correctly. Can anyone tell me what the rise, width and pull back is for the stock 98 FCSTC bars. I want to replace mine with the same dimensions.
Not every manufacturer does this the same way, so when we see dimensions that may be the same on paper, they donât always produce the same bars. Manufacturers are reluctant to adopt a uniform measurement system............
You could just drill your existing bars and run the wires. Either way, here is an article on how to do internal wiring. Sorry can't help on the dimensions, the POreplaced the buckhorns withwide glide mini apes. http://www.surgicalsteeds.com/tech_tips/tech7/wire.html
