Default drag pipes

Just curious if anyevo owners are running vance&hines stagged duals or longshots without the baffles? I have a mikuni carb, hi-4 ignitionand was wondering how your bike runs.
Thanks

Running a set of Staggered Bigshots on Mine. They have a balance chamber hiden between the tow pipes and work really well. Might be looking at some side shots later but thats for another part of the project

I have an 85 fxwg. I put Vance & Hines stagered duals on it about 2 years ago. Also had S&S carb and Crane HI-4 single fire. Long story short, My Crane set up failed and blued the hell outta my new V&H pipes!!! Back to points and Have no problems at all. Cleaned up most of the blue and they look good again.
I wouldn't run them without baffles as your bike needs the back pressure to perform like itshould. However, Idid take the baffles out and cut about 3/4 of them off and reinserted what was left. Sounds great without the straight pipe 'sucking' sound when you let off the throttle. That by itself could help in not getting a ticket depending on where you ride! Also keeps enough back pressure to run good!!
Botom line is. I love my set up now. I would buy another and set it up exactly as this one is!!
