Drag pipes, look great but very loud (too loud for some) and drop in performance. Has anyone had experience doing this - LAF drag pipes, with torque cones at the header end, and standard baffles fitted near the exhaust exits.... with an FP3 tuner......
I put in a set of crusher mellow baffles in a set of cvo mufflers , after that I gave V&H a call and explained to them how I modified them to fit . They recommended me the perfect map for my set up and to do an auto tune after that . Bike runs better than awesome now .
Since your using an FP3 I would work with V&H in getting it set up just right . Calling them would be better than an email . Brian from V&H may chime in and give his thoughts also .

Bet your set up sounds wicked !!
Thanks guys! Ill speak ton V&H about the base map 👌 glad it sounds like it might work 😄😄
In those links you'll also find material that speaks to the "back pressure" myth.
After reading all that... You might come to the conclusion that proper exhaust systems are not just some pipes bent to look and sound good. There is a reason that the word "system" is used in the term Exhaust System and that system is part of a larger system. Properly designed and executed - that system can produce "JOY". Poorly (likely ignorantly) executed it can produce "****". Sure you can probably mitigate the **** to some degree tweaking/tuning, but just guessing... the likely outcome is just a lesser degree of ****.
I haven't seen any tuning attempts/dyno results on those LAF drag pipes... But just based on appearances, my first instinct would be to refer again to the 4:35/10:42 mark in the above video.
I ran the LAF's for a couple years and changing them now because they drag after i lowered the bike, otherwise I was happy with them. I tuned it with a powervision and lollipops in the pipes. When i first put them on the bike it was a noticeable performance upgrade from the SEII slip-ons and stage 1 HD tune. They are not too noisy at an idle and low rpm cruising but can be very loud when you want to be.
Good to hear 👍 Ive got the pipes, wrapped, baffles in (although I may modify the baffles into more lolly pop style items), air intake and FP3 lined up ready for the weekend 🤭
