Kiss Harley Boy
Hello all............ new on hear, met some great - Knowlegded - guys on here !I want to thank you all again.
this post was intended, to help ME, and any other newbee's on here with some basics.
I have read most all the posts on here, and have learned much, the problem leaving me with the KISS?
[8D] keep it simple stupid [8D]
BEST oil for the three holes? weight? brand? synthetic? straight weight? muti-grade? how often to change oil and filter?
best bulbs for vibration?
fuses vrs. breakers
best plugs? coils?
I know these been done .... but, never really agreed apon????
I would like any info, and ALL your thoughts, but when it comes down to it, I would like to know what "REALLY" works from you riders out there, that have hundred thousand + miles and can stand behindthe products you have used or learned from.
anyone can read a manual??? buy products " TOLD" to buy, do this use that bla bla bla....
are they out to help you or sell new bikes sooner? or sell their parts? oils?
I'm very interested in finding out what pops up here this weekend....
see ya on the flip flop.........
John
I am sorry , but I forgot to add, this is not an add on to the on going primary oil debate.
this is my own study of what works for dependability, durable long distant trips, short " just see whos in town" ride. and keepin the machine strong and alive.
I also forgot to add air filter ideas, and service changes?
thanks John
breakers over fuses as unless a breaker dies it aint going to leav you seaching for a replacemnt if you get a short at the side of the road. Alos helps you trouble shoot as ifyou have an issue you can listen for the click as it trips whislt sorting it out

Plugs for Me are either Splitfires or SE followed by NGK ( if they can live inside My old jap drag bike they will survive in a harley )
Leads I would say Taylor or magnacor ( I am in england so check what your racers use) and coils have to be dynatek
