almost forgot. I just turned 50,000 miles this summer.
I had 100,000 miles on my '84FXR and it was still running, just starting to puff a little smoke but I was riding it daily.
Had the top end done .010 over with SE 10:1 pistons and a mild port job with EV27 cam and it flat out ran like a scalded dog.
I sold it at 125,000 miles to a friend and he sold it at 145,000 miles after dumping it and scaring himself.
That was the last I saw of it but I know it had never had the cases split and was still running great at 145,000 miles.
