I don't know if it is the right thing for mine, but I found 42-432 in the Jireh catalog that is an adapter to use a cv air cleaner on a Mikuni carb. It was 13.95 but they sell a chrome version for more - I ordered it but won't know if it fits until I get my Ultima. The same page also had round K&N filters and matching round covers for the Mikuni carb, but I would prefer to use my cover from the cv so I went with the adapter. It was on page 08/039 on the right hand side under Mikuni specific parts.
I know many people have different descriptions of "Good" so I define a good touring muffler as not too loud but still provides adequate flow to provide reasonable performance, mostly in the lower rpm range. I realize the 2 into 1 are the best for all out power, and free flowing tends to be louder but not looking for that just yet.
thanks again
Thanks for the help. u got mail.
pajoe,
Thanks for the number, i will look shortly. You were asking about mufflers. I put a set of Rush on mine for a while. HD sells them , but they are cheaper on ebay. I really liked them. I had them on the 90, but i am running them on my roadglide right now and looking for another set of Rush for the 90. Are u still running the old exhuast or do u have the 95-07 header pipes. i bought a set of newer pipes so i can run the newer mufflers.
thanks all...............

I cut the flange off the end of my header pipes so I can use the newer style pipes. Most recently was using a set of HD 65254-00 touring mufflers from a 01/02 Road King or something similar, not sure and after I purchased them the fellow wasn't sure either. I have a set of Samson Rolled Thunder Touring Ovals as well but they are a little too loud for any length of time down the highway - great for short rides around town.. I think I have a set of stock touring pipes from a newer Electra Glide but not sure what year, I never put them on because they look really restrictive.
I thought about buying Rush baffles to see if I could fit them into my 3 1/2 " touring pipes, I was able to grind the weld off that keeps the baffles in the HD touring pipes, now the only thing holding them in place is the end caps. I also have a new set of Thunder City baffles but did not want to drill holes in my header pipes to fit them in place. FuelMoto sells Rush and they also selll similar pipes they make called Jackpots that are dyna tuned for certain bikes but they have not answered my email concerning the Ultima 113. I think FuelMoto uses two different size "RUSH" type baffles in the Jackpots, making it closer to a 2 into 1.
out of all of us that are running Ultimas, how many are using an oil cooler and at what ambient temp do you cover it so the oil can get up to temp ? I cover mine when the temp is below 50 degrees, lately it has been 30 deg in morning and 70 in the afternoon. i guess i need one of those thermostatic switches.
later...................
