Oil consumption dropped to zero???

I've got a '94 Dyna with 30,000 miles on it and it's always used about a quart of oil between 3000 mile changes. I removed the Harley washable air filter and installed a K&N filter and the oil consumption dropped to essentially zero. What's up with that?

The new filter breathes easier which allows the engine to pull air thru the filter rather tan thru the head breathers (which helps suck air/oil from the heads)?

I think mtnlvr has hit the nail on the head if that was the only change you made prior to the change in oil consumption.
