I have the kit from White Bros. in my 05 electraglide. It has 50,000 miles on it (I installed it right away due to hand problems!) and have had NO problems what-so-ever! The dealer had me pull on a newer bike to feel the reduced efoort and guess what? My 05 had a "lighter" pull!
In my opinion it was money well spent and I plan on putting a kit in my Wideglide this spring!

Any trouble shifting? I've looked at those extensions but worry that the increased lever arm will mean decreased travel of the push rod.

thats what i read about some of them, reduced travel on the clutch, not all but some. kinda of like a gamble so i went with the MRC from harley, hey it works for me. from what i have read on the instructions on the cheap one is that you also have to do some grinding inside the tranny cover for it to clear.

I installed the HD easy clutch. INstall was simple but very time consuming. Kit included new clutch ramp, ***** and clutch spring. Probably 40% reduction overall- 20% for the ramp and 20% for the clutch spring. Works great, but the clutch rod travel is affected and you loose a lot of "forgivness" in the clutch cable. My clutch lever is almost all the way out to disengage clutch- (just a little squeeze and the clutch starts to engage).

To install it on an '02 Road King, the exhaust has to come off to get to the clutch ramp, and the outer primary cover has to come off to change the clutch spring (although some claim they can ****** the clutch spring out of the derby cover).

If the "mouse trap" installs in just over an hour, and I had it to do over again, I would choose thqat style over the ramp/ ball/ spring kit- especially if it comes off as easy as it goes on!! DO motor mods with an easy clutch and you will probably have to change out the clutch spring.......
