Dont like this big *** dashboard on my 1985 flht ..
I want to take it off but then i need to find what bolts up there to hold my headlight on .. Sombody steer me in the right direction for this conversion .. I dont need a speedo and tak` ... I know how slow i go.
Actually most states require a speedo for inspections. You might want to check that out first. It's been a while , but if I remember correctly the junk off of the later models will fit.
If you aren't afraid to and have the capability to fabricate brackets, etc. A Road King nacelle should work. Measure the width of your triple trees and compare it to the donor pieces.
The flh nacell will bolt right up no mods needed. get the old flh tins from custom chrome or from harley or from ebay. I did the sane thing , took flh front end from electraflide put the nacell on there and threw out the rest of that garbage and 2 miles of wires
We also have a 85 FLHTC : we have been wanting to upgrade to new fairing to remove that god awful speedo/tach set up. been talking with a stealer, for 423.00 for a 96 model inner and outer fairing. I think this is the way we are going.
Then gauges ,radio..etc..
