Default Early Road King Speedometer

I'm going to change my 1990 FLHS over to an Evo Road King Style. I think I have most of it figured out except the speedometer. It looks like every speedometer on RKs is electric, right back to the '94. Did the earliest ones have the transmission driven electronic speedometers? My bike is a mechanical front wheel driven speedometer and I want to use a stock placement dash speedometer. Anyone have a solution to this without spending ridiculous money?

Thanks.

Frank

Shouldn't be too tuff to make a mechanical speedo fit the roadking dash...or you can get a GPS speedo... or you can change out the transmission case for one that takes the speed sensor for the electric speedo...
