Default Looking for tail light harness plug source

I'm working on my trailer lights for my 86 FLHT, and I want a plug in setup. Of course, nothing exists off the shelf for anything that old, even though I don't consider it old, but we won't get into that. So, I need a male and female plug to fit those used on the rear lights harness. This is under the left side cover where you air up the rear shocks. Here's a couple of pics:

Anyone know where to get these? Do the dealers still carry that kind of thing? I'd hate to think of what a dealer would charge, but, when they got ya.

Looks like something that Radio Shack would carry. Of course they won't have 'em. That doesn't look like it does a very good job of keeping out dirt and water. Have ya considered dropping the bucks on some waterproof connectors?
Good luck in yer search Doc.

Radio Shack. They have them in the metal parts bins listed as interlocking connectors. I think the actual locking tabs may be different though. They come in male or female in 6, 8, etc pin configurations. BUT Radio Shack DOES NOT have the correct crimpers for those size pins. You'll have to get those at NAPA or some other decent auto parts. They are about 36.00 and made cheap but work OK - good ones would run you into the hundreds.

The metal pins and sockets are still avaliable thru HD, but I'm not sure about the plastic blocks, but if so, they come unassembled. I carry all that in my tool kit when on a road trip, as well as dielectric compound...

You can remove the pins from the (pictured) block and repair or add more wires, then use the R S connectors to finish-up the pigtail for your trailer.

PS.. do yoursef a big favor and get RS # 274-223 pin removal tool. A real timesaver when working with those lock-in pins and sockets, about 8.00

I ordered a set from Biker Bob's, along with some other stuff I need like caliper MC kits.

Well, it looks like the plugs are officially Unobtainium. While BikerBob's web page let me order them, a couple days later, I get an email saying "your SOL." So, on to Plan B: Pull the pins from my connectors and solder the wires onto the pins, then reassemble.

I ran a piece of outdoor CAT 5 cable behind the fender strut. You can't see it. It goes down to the hitch where I cut the 5->4 wire converter wires and soldered/heat shrank it together. I'll put the ground wire on a bolt and 3M VHB Tape the adapter to the hitch down strut.

Got my hitch from MCHitch.com in Tuesday and got it mounted up. He sent me the wrong one first, then sent another and this one fits great. Also have my swivel ball installed.
