Hi was wondering i have evo softail with a BDL open primary and i started to notice a few drops of oil coming from bottom of the clutch basket. My question is there must be an oil seal on the shaft the clutch is on which i assume is coming from the transmission. If so is it a big job to replace?Thx

With an open dry primary there is no need for a seal on the trans input shaft (which on a wet clutch is the inner primary seal) There is a seal on the input shaft but it's in the snout of 5th gear - it would leak to the backside of the primary and to the outside of the front drive pulley (or sprocket) and doubtful that it could ever get to your clutch.
The push rod for the clutch release comes thru the center of the trans input shaft and that is where the (wet) primary actually vented (thru the trans) Typically a belt drive conversion includes a special adjuster screw that replaces the original screw and "bullet" extension that was between the rod and screw. They also include a hub nut, which has an o-ring on the inside that seals on the updated adjuster.
I have very little belt primary experience, but that much I do know. Hope it's of some help
