I have no problems finding Autolite 4265 spark plugs, but none of the local stores had Autolite 4264 spark plugs. I did a cross reference for RN11YC on one of the web sites and it listed "Autolite 64" .
Is the Autolite 64 the same plug as the 4264? I am thinking they may have changed the numbering system.
Pajoe,
You are right. The first time I ordered 4264's and got a box of 64's I said WTF. Called the distribuitor and they said same plug, new numbering. I like Autolites because they have a broader heat range the Champion. We use champion to find out which heat range we need then switch to Autolites as champion usally has more plugs covering a broader heat range than the others.
I like Autolite, and the 4265 were easy to find as every Advance Auto store had them out hanging in packs of 2 in one the aisles. I want to try the "Autolite 64" rather than the RN11YC. The Ultima motor manual lists the BPR6ES as being in the mid heat range, but most cross reference sites associate that with the Autolite 4263.
Right,we got 64's and the distrinuitor said they were what we ordered just a new number. Right now we are running the RN11YC in our 120 and it looks perfect for heat range up here with up to 105 octane.
