Default carb cables part number

I put a CV carb on my '89 FLHTC. Can anyone give me the parts number for thr throttle and idle cable? Any mid-90s model with CV would work. Thanks.

I have been told you also need: (1) The manifold, as the carbs mount different, (2) The choke cable is different, (3) The throttle cables are different and your stockers probably need replacincing by now, (4) The air cleaner. Look for one that has the choke cable and manifold if you can find it. I am thinking of doing it too. A local has one he removed with a jet kit done and everything I need for $250.... plenty .... but all good and it is nice. Good luck!!!

That's funny. I saw your other thread about rebuilding and was going to suggest you get a CV carb. Don't bother rebuilding the Keihin butterfly. The CV carb is one of the better upgrades for a pre-90 big twin Evo. Sporters got the CVs earlier.

Anyway, Idintdoit covered some of the things you need, but you can do it for cheap. What you need: 1) throttle and idle cables 2) differernt manifold 3) different backplate 4) air filter

You can use the old air filter cover. The best way to do this is go see your Indy guy who's been around for a while. He's got all that in the attic. You can get all those (- cables) for less than $100. Get a 1993 or later because they have accel pump.

Heck, I've yet to get the cables, because I had an extra throttle cable and just running one cable right now.

That's a good deal and right in the ball park. He also put in the brass inlet for you. All you need now is the manifold and cables, and you are set. I'm not sure if the Sportster backplate will work for you. If the holes match up with your cyclinder holes, it may work. If not, a backplate and air cleaner assembly won't set you back much more.
