I use AMSOil synthetic 20W-50 motor oil in all three chambers - motor, primary, and transmission. Works well and I can never accidentally put the wrong fluid in the wrong chamber!

I've got a case of 30 year old Dexron ATF (still in the cardboard cans!) that I've been using. Works great, lasts a long time.

Now that's about the best price/performance you could ever hope fpr! Probably cost you under $1 a can!
