Default brakelights, turn signals don't work

my bike is a 86' FXWG Wide Glide and I'm not that familiar with the electrical system. Where are the fuses? I've got the tanks and rear fender off the bike. where is the turn signal flasher? I've already checked all the bulbs and for corrosion. nada. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no fuses on older Harleys, just thermal cutouts. They are small aluminium boxes similar to a rectangular turn signal flasher. I don't know the WG, but there are probably three of them mounted together either under the seat or in the headlight. Hopefully someone with WG experience will call by soon!

Follow your wires up past your seat to where they are near the fuel tank & test in that area for power if you have no power at the rear. This seems to be fairly common due to wiring rubbing under the seat.
Not sure where your circut breakers are located on that bike.

thanks hatchman, you were dead on. it needs both new wires and circuit breaker after I got in there and really had a look at it I tested the everything and realized the circuit breaker was blown and the wires frayed. no big deal, got covered. thanks again

Glad you found the problem. Breakers are located under the tank divider. Just for future reference the flasher is under the seat(left side . The older ones look just like the breakers but you can squeeze a round one into the square holder.

I used a standard automotive #552 round blinker on my 85WG. Same one that fits in my Chevelle.

I attached a simple schematic of it. I also have a complete detailed schematic of the entire bike that I can email. I can't read the one in the manual so I zoom in to my electronic copy on the PC.
