Default Turn signal problem..

My bike had the rear turn signals off of it when I bought it, and the fronts didn't work correctly. I bought the bike off of my brother and the guy who owned it before him was the one who removed the turn signals, and he said that it would cause the fronts to not work correctly, because he removed the rears. I've read on here about this too. Sooo, does anyone know of an easy fix for this? Only my right signal is burning on the front...I thought that maybe the bulb was just blown in the left one, so I switched the bulbs around last night, but no luck.

Did you try 40w turn signal fluid or 30w? I ride in warmer weather most of the time and I run 30w synthetic.

Look up under the rear fender and see what they did with the wiring harness that served the turn signals and tail light. It may look a mess. If so, then the best thing to do in my opinion is to pull the seat and start tracing the wires from the fuse block to the turn signals. It could be that the previous owner did some jury rigging with the wiring harnesses and you have a wire that has worn in two.

Year and model of bike would be a great help in helping you

I agree. And also, what weight of fluid your using would help too.

I was wondering if someone was going to pick up on that.

Seriously, the first thing I would do is trace the lines back to the wiring harness. Be sure to look for a spot where the wire is showing through.

You signals won't work right without all bulbs operational. You need to get a load equalizer. They are anywhere from 30 to 70 bucks .. or more. Sometimes you need one ... even when changing to LED's or other OEM lights.

Well, i've read that the front signals won't work correctly if the rears are removed. Any truth to that, or do you know?

Ahh, Pan answered it as I was typing it. I don't understand why HD would do such a thing?
