Leg - this is the Evo forum! We're all relaxed here... we do a lot of general chatting. I have to work today, but I've already scheduled tomorrow off... supposed to be mid to high 50s here too - that's good enough for a long awaited ride! Installed a new EVL-3010 cam, Velva Touch lifters, and Twin Tec single fire ignition over the holidays, and Bertha is getting really anxious to test out her new muscles! Gotta change the primary and tranny juices in the morning, then I'm hitting the road for a good long ride! Yippee! Only one day of nice tho... supposed to be back down in the 40s and rain here on Saturday, then iffy at best on Sunday. My 15-year-old daughter is visiting us this weekend, and she LOVES to ride with me... we'll see how Sunday looks!
Nice right now for the evening commute but 24 degrees this morning was a bit rough. My fingers got a bit painful ... got to get those 'lectric gloves for sure. Oh yeah, 24 is a record for me.
After three weeks of snow, we had rain much of today. The snow is beginning to thin a little, but there are still night-time frosts in prospect. My Evo (see how neatly I worked it in?) is quietly resting in the garage, while I quietly ditto indoors.
Had a family funeral Friday 8th Jan in St Andrews Scotland. The reception afterwards was in the hotel overlooking the old and original golf course. It was a wonderfully view, white and about a foot deep in snow! Not much golf being played....
Yeah,I hit the driving range today,May go play a mid morning game tomorrow, then ride later in the afternoon.Allready makin plans for a day of riding saturday, but the rain is coming in sat. night. But all 50's next week, which is normal for us this time of the year.I really hope those teen temp's will stay away for the rest of the year.

Leg - I like your optimism... but they'll be back, I'm sure...
"The nice thing about being a pessimist is that you're always either proven correct, or you're pleasantly surprised!"
Man I'm jonesin too..... Had an evening rind on my mind all day, but just got home to overcast skies and dropping temps, lost the motivation... I'm hoping to see 40 in the morning (although their calling for 33) so I can ride to work, the ride home would be great!!
What is this "snow" and "rain" you speak of? Think I saw that on TV once. Been mid 70's all week, but it has been getting down to the frigid 50's at night.
Back on topic, isn't it wonderful how well the Carb'd Evos run when its cold out? I was out a couple of weeks ago at 3 or 4 AM, it was low 40's and the bike was running unbelieveably well. Sure don't miss sitting in traffic when it's 115+ out.
There are lots of snowbirds to deal with though, if it makes you feel any better...
FWIW, I rode year round when I lived in IA for a few years, nothing like riding when it's below freezing and there is snow piled on both sides of the road. Ahhh, memories of screaming at cows trying to stay warm and sane while your body goes numb. Good times. Still better than being in a cage!

"Rain" is water that falls from a "cloud" in the sky. You don't have "clouds" out there, though. And "snow" is frozen water that falls from the "cloud"... think if it as snow cones falling on your head!
And yes, my carbed Evo runs fantastically when it's cold... more dense, cold air in every charge! The problem is, I DON'T... But at 70 F, we're BOTH happy!
Its 11oclk,ive put my time in for the day,Gonna punch the proverbel clock and take a ride,Golfing got cancelled,so im heading out for a putt, check in with yall guys later.
