Ok. Whatever you have to do to get the cover off the handlebars (been too long, can't remember) and you may have to take the bars loose and raise them up off the clamps, depending on how you're fixed for tools.
Hard to see, but it's the under the part where the ignition switch decal is pasted and about 3/16" long. Pull it with needle noses. It's spring loaded and slick and it only pulls out about 1/8" to release the ****. Again, helps if you can push down slightly on the **** as you pull on the pin.
