Woods or andrews
Flip a coin.
Thinking about knocking the cam back down a notch to the EVL-5010 that keeps the lift that the ported heads like @585, but knocks back about 8 degrees on the duration from 252 to 244 and drops the intake and exhaust closing points from 26/22 46/42 52/48 20/16. Overlap back from 46 to 38 and the same LSA @103. I'd also like to keep the cranking compression at a reasonable level.
Any ideas or recommendations??
If your a Woods guy, several options with your compression.

p.s, you say your chambers are at 72cc with a se head, i thought they were 65cc from the factory?

gsxkboy96, Stock SE heads are 72cc's, so after the chamber work was done they had to be decked .010 to bring them back to 72cc's, Installing SE heads on a stock engine will raise the compresion 1 point. My setup is 9.5 to 1 flat tops CP pistons with the 72cc head = 10.5 to 1.
1997 bagger, not a Woods guy, too noisy with the ramps they use like the Andrews grinds, my current VT5015 is very close to a Woods 9. Thanks for the option on the DM, I'll look into that. I like the VT cams as they are quiet due to the ramp design even with roller rockers my valve train is quiet and I use my original cam gear.
My heads were flowed and like .585 lift or better, the original recommendatons were the VT 5015 or a T-Man 590. Just for $hits and giggles, 98.6hp/95.3 tq the way she sits with Samson F-109 staggered duals. Just looking for a bit more streetablity that is tied into duration, overlap and LSA as we know.
