Default Carb Conversion Completed

Took a short run today with the conversion before the weather took over.


The conversion is simpler than made out to be:

Installed a Ultima 2000i ignition system with the coil and rotor, a factory connector body is located 6" from the coil and has the white wire with black stripe that goes to the handlebar ignition switch, removed it out of the harness and to the positive of the coil. The Ultima system has the voes wires in it, if you want a voes switch - Your done

You can drill a hole in the existing motor mount and add a choke bracket

Used a donated Twinkee intake / CV carb and did some work on the carb that was inexpensive

Pingel holds you ransom for the Petcock conversion but is a nice item, drilling the tank is the hardest part.

Had a set of stock heads ported by veteran builder John Sachs and I did a re-ring. Added a 2-1 Pro Pipe and built a ghost Pro Pipe for the left side, made the first run with the Wego (afr) tuning system hooked up and made a needle adjustment when the rain came, with all of the work that was done I am looking forward to tuning it in and showing my hotrod Evo / Shovel buddies that the white train is burning a little more coal
