So, when I'm out riding my Evo, I may be "spotted"? Awesome!

I gotta say, most people on Harleys have no clue what my FXR is when they see it.

LOL! Yeah, many twinkie riders don't even know that there ever WAS an FXR! Hell, a lot of them don't even know there was an Evo... And that includes more than a few stealership salespeople!

I was at a chemical plant picking some stuff up a few weeks ago, and a guy there had heard I had a Harley.
Yeah, an FXRS...... Huh?.... Yeah, a Low Rider...... Oh, a Dyna...... No, a '92, with an Evo.. What size engine?... 80, actually 81.6........ Huh?... Say, what bike do YOU have?... Street Glide....... With the 96?...... No, mine's an '03....... Uh, they didn't make Street Glides in '03. Street Glides don't have the Tourpak......... Yeah, mine doesn't have a Tourpak...... No, Street Glides are lowered with a stripped-
Never mind.
Not only did he not know what I had, he didn't know what HE had.

LOL! Had a guy ask me if it was one of the little Harleys. I told him no that it is a big twin. He looked at me kind a funny and said that it looks small to him. I ride an FXDWG. I have learned not to tell anyone it is a Dyna. Some think that is a brand.

OH well. I was ignorant to the Harley language at one time too. Like maybe in the 60s.

ROTFL! Just as long as it's not a female saying that to you at a nudist resort... that would be BAD!

I agree! But this conservative southern boy is too timid to be at a nudist colony.

Some think that if it does not have bags on it that it must be a small Harley.

Big Bad Bertha is a big full grown Harley I guess.

ROTFL! Was he sure he even had a HARLEY??? Sounds like he had an E-Glide Standard, or maybe even a Road King... but maybe it was a friggin' V-Star or something, and he just convinced himself that he rode a Harley!

BBB is indeed big and fully grown... a "full figure" gal... and she probably needs to go on a diet. But since I know I'll never win any speed contests, she's going for the heavyweight title!

I got a good laugh out of an EVO "sighting" I had today....

I was driving along and an older bike passes me on the left with Oregon plates...I am thinking it is an evo so when he stops at the next light I stop next to him....it is a nice older FX evo....I roll down my window and said..."hey, nice evo"

...he says.."it's not an evo" ...I look at it again a bit confused, it looks exactly like an evo...
I say "no?" he says " no, it's a special harley"...I say..."but it is an evo, isn't it, or is it S&S?" he goes..."no it's a blockhead"...I say "yea, it's between '84 and '99, right? that's an evo"

He says "no, it's a special harley...it's a sturgis" then the light changes and we both move on

...and I realize he thinks evo is a model like softail, roadking, etc...and didn't seem to know I was refering to the engine...I just chuckled
