Default RevTech Failure

This didn't happen on my bike but on my buddies 87 FXRC, we just finished a 500 mile hiway run, pretty steady speeds 60 - 75 mph and we stopped at my house, he went on his way to go home and called me 10 minutes later to get the trailer. So yesterday we started taking it apart looking for anything obvious and first thing I noticed was the pushrod tube clip was sticking outward on the front intake, popped the clip and sure enough the pr was all bent, I popped the front exhaust pr tube clip and the pushrod wasn't bent but broken off on the lifter end. We pulled the rocker cover and picked out the ball and pin from the top of the pr and 3 chunks 1/4" in length from the top of the head. We pulled the cam cone and nothing was out of place and all checked out so how or what could have caused this to happen to the RevTech Quick install pr's ? We just put these in last summer.

Another guy has posted pictures of a failed Revtech PR, Doesn't bode well for me, I have them.... Maybe time to shop for some chrome-moly Andrews or Crane.

I had 30,000 + miles on the Rev-Tech chrome-moly pushrods before I swapped the engine. I am sure there are other brands that are good, maybe even better but the ones I had seemed to work OK.

Probably half of anything produced now days is made somewhere in Asia. I'm sure a lot of Harley parts are made there and rebadged as HD. I have a KIA that's made in Korea too and it's a great little car. That being said, it appears as though Revtech has a reputation of making some questionable parts.
