As for Dans thing about the power coming directly from a breaker I say so what.
Yes I agree that ED should try cleaning the contacts first but the whole reason for the extra relay or fused wire from the battery is corroded connectors.
Just because his power is coming from a breaker doesn't mean that the power going into the breaker is enough to start the bike.
D1gger also has a FLHTC and he needed the second relay.
Hell he wrote a sticky about it.
I need to make a correction, I was looking at the wrong wiring diagram...duh.
This bike (`95 FLHTC) is indeed one of the bikes that will benefit from the use of a second relay...
If terminal 30 on the relay gets its power from the ignition switch then the bike can use a second relay, the second relay would get power to its terminal 30 through a more direct path, such as a main breaker (not any of the smaller breakers).
