I paid the money for an accell once. Only lasted about a year. Went back to OEM. Anyone can say Lifetime warranty. Probably not cost or time effective to claim.
I assume your sig pic is your 1986. I have an 87 . Most of it's been replaced over the years. Sweet looking ride. From the looks of the tranny cover, exhaust and natural finish it's still stock? Your bags appear pristine!

Hey ironButt, your 87 is looking real good too....the bike is still mostly stock, but each year it drifts a little more away...I finally put the CV carb on just recently and cranked it up for the first time with it today...
what is not stock is packed in the garage in case I do a rebuild one day...the tin set is oem from 1999, a special edition that was never sold on a bike, it was sold as a bolt-on tin-set only...the bike originally looked like the one in my avatar pic...those bags were replaced once about 8 years ago...I was lucky to find a new pair of the originals on ebay, which is just about impossible.
As for the starter drive, I haven't been happy with the oem...but maybe i used an "A" version...and now they are using a "B" version so hopefully they improved reliablility.
hey guys, im working on my 1886 flstc and the bendix drive whent out, the starter will still spin but no movement to engauge. i tried a rebuild kit but the internals are shot. i replaced the drive and now the curcuit breaker going to it just clicks whenever i press the start button. please help if you can.
What circuit breaker going to it? There isn't a circuit breaker going directly to it. What exactly is clicking? The starter is not spinning now, correct? Do you get a Clunk or do you get nothing with a breaker opening up? Is the headlight on when you press the start button?
If it's like my 85, there's a big ol solenoid relay that feeds the starter solinoid........mines mounted in front of the rear tire, under the splash guard. when mine wore out it would just click and not feed the starter solenoid
