Got new parts installed today and It charges better then it ever has
The only thing that I could find was the rotor had been rubbing on the stator, There was some pretty harsh looking marks on the rotor and the stator had two of the fields shined up from the contact. I guess this would explain the noise I was hearing .

There have been several threads on here lately about bad rotors - magnets coming loose, rubbing against the stator, etc. From reading these other threads, I was going to mention to check the rotor until I read your post that you had gotten an all-new charging system and fixed. The rotor isn't something that jumps out at you as a problem - but I'm going to keep that in mind if Bertha's charging system ever goes wacky...
