clutch problem, I think

Default clutch problem, I think

Just picked an 88 flhp. Took it out for a drive and it started to loose drive. would not pull a hill. rpm's were going up, speed was going down. any help would be great. thanks

Good God another crazy Nam vet " welcome home " Sounds like clutches Get yourself a manual if needed Pop of the outer primary This should be an ABC clutch Time to replace the friction plates HD P/N 37975-84 There are 7 of these also inspect the inner clutch hub for cracks around the keyway taper I've seen at least 6 bad ones I was Army 2 corp engineers 68/69 Party on

crazy, probably, but glad I still wake up on the right side of the dirt.Thanks for the info and advice. Marines, Force Recon 65-66 I core, 3rd MarDiv hills around Khe Sanh 67-68. OOOORaaaaaH. Thanks for your service and welcome home.
