Default Clutch

I think I posted this in the wrong spot earlier, so I am posting it here. I have a 883C and I lost all pull or tension it my clutch so it was basically dead. I tried readjusting it and it became harder then heck to pull it back. I took off the primary and found what looks like a bearing ring that was grinded in some spots and missin the bearing ***** (if it has them in it). Its like the clutch is not grabbing and when I try to put it in first gear in jumps forward and dies. Any help is appreciated.

Ball bearings, sounds like the ball and ramp assembly. That would also explain the symptoms you mentioned with the clutch. It's pretty easy to replace, and shouldn't be very expensive.

It's called the ball and ramp assembly. I would also recommend getting the Service Manual.

You will need snap ring pliers if additionally to the ***** the throwout bearing behind it is shot.
