Cam's at Top end rebuild
I'm having my top end rebuilt on my "88 FXR. Would it make since and save me money to change out my cam's now vs waiting till later? Will this change anything that has to be done on the rebuild?

Yes it makes sense to do it now. No additional work need be done as long as you stick with a cam that is compatible with the other mods and not some super lift long duration one. An EV-27 or a Woods 6 series would give you the results that you are looking for.

Wot John sez! This is a great time to change the cam. Be sure to check if you need to adjust end float on your new cam. That is the only 'change' I can think of. Instructions should come with the cam (they did when I fitted an EV27 some years ago).
