Like others have stated, if maintained, an Evo is a high mileage engine.

Cam bearing should be replaced along with lifters at the mileage it has. I have just over 74K on my Evo with regular maintenance and I ride 'er hard. During the summer, when I get 'er out on the road, it's 400 miles/day easy...max was 823.

Price is about right...there is probably some 'wiggle room' in there. Price can also depend on location. A buddy bought a '98 FLHTCUI in Dallas last spring for $8500...it had about 65K on it. I'd do a search...I saw an '01 FLT on CL for about that $$ yesterday.
