Thinking about buying set of these while they are on sale. I do have a GMA billet chrome rear master cylinder reservior on my 93, stock rear footpeg mounts with the smaller Kuryakin ISO pegs. Before I plunk down my cash, has anyone experienced any fitment issues?
I have had a problem with the bolt holes pulling through if you aren't super careful. They can be repaired and reinforced with a flatwasher and plastic epoxy from the inside.
Been considering buying the same for mine. Getting ready to paint the tins....hmmm.
Yeah Bro, but we are not receiving much in the way of feedback. Pretty sorry condidering the amount of pics I see with guys using these. I just do not want to spend the money to find out that there are fitment issues. I'd like to know about that in advance.
Not trying to be a smart ***, but personally, I've never been a fan of any Ness-designed accessories...or bikes for that matter. Some of the gaudiest FXRs have come out of that shop over the years.
i've got them on my '91 fxr. i personally think they look sleek. there was no real problems fitting or with clearances. i did have to fabricate new nuts in a retainer as the rubber mounted ones as fitted pulled out. all i used was the retained nuts as found on auto radiators .the spacers that came with it was fine but did require further spacing with washers but was easy enough.
there was no problems at all spray them up fit them, easy. the flipup seat still works without any mods or snagging. i'd say try 'em

I bought a set of used ness covers, could you tell me what size the spacers are that go behind the fasteners. Thanks
Have you tried just replacing the rubber well nuts? Harley and hardware stores carry them. If not, you way want to PM the other poster because of the age of this thread.
