No, I missed that. Not something I'd want to tackle. There is an 85" bolt on kit out there, but it seems like a lot of expense just to add 5 ci. Wonder if I need to consider a crate engine to get the bigger cubes...?

Some of the current tuners and HDF sponsors can do wonders with an Evo, with careful head porting and choice of cam, without changing bore or stroke. Worth looking into further if you prefer to keep your current motor. You don't have to look far on here to find a tuner you can contact!
Changing your motor for a bigger one is quite another matter! I have looked into the top end of the range and a 131" can be installed in a stock frame, beyond that they get taller and wider and need frame surgery to squeeze them in. Of those that fit it really is a matter of how deep your pocket is! Seems to me that going to a new motor is only worthwhile when making a significant increase and on that basis I chose my S&S 107". There are lots of other options out there. My 107 gives just over 100HP/TQ, but a 131" with around 140 each would be nice....

Not even 5 inches. What Harley calls an 80 incher is actually 81.4, somewhere around there.
go to www.revperf.com they have a 85 ci pistons & cylinders that do not use the steel sleeve. They are nickel-silicone-carbide electroplated bores. Motor does not have to be split to install. They run about 1k.
Those are Revolution Performance parts on the the Ebay add, some have had good luck but several have had disasters, the Rev Perf vendor thread on one of the forums was a horror show with piston failures and no support towards failed parts.
Axtell makes a good big bore kit that works but for $900 I would purchase a 4 5/8 S&S stroker kit and know I have a proven product.
