Lifter Poll
One last thought about lifters. Remember any manufacture that mass produces lifters can have bad ones. Those are the ones you will hear about in the forums. There usually are more people out there having good luck with a reputable product then having problems. It's just that the people that are having problems are just venting with cause. Also remember this is not just limited to lifters, but to all product. When you add to this improper install problems(i.e. wrong part, wrong clearance, etc.) which the average weekend mechanic usually doesn't admit to you could find out that all of the problems aren't the manufactures

Good point John, I only get to see broke trucks in our shop and 100% of the techs call them pieces of $hit but an uncountable amount of them are on the road everyday.
Don't hear about failures with the "B" lifter but I might be an exception, had a couple calapse with an aggressive lobed cam and rpm's and wouldn't pump back up, had a set of take out "A's" that finished out the summer with the same abuse so it was probaly just time for the "B's" to become conversation items.
S&S with the limiters is something that is appealing, never heard of an S&S failure.
