I was running about 80-82 ish since the wife was not on the back
The wind drag from your nads swelling up when unleashing the new power is probaly the reason for extra fuel consumption, don't throttle it and you will have less wind resistance or put your wife back on the bike so you ride the speed limit
HA, thanks dad. They recently raised the speed limit in Virginia to 70 on interstates, so I try to go no more than about 10 or so over. You know, to maintain some Evo cool.
I think Tactical means he changed from stock 32T to 34T. He also says the following, which is consistent with doing that:
You guys are right. Bigger on front sprocket and/or smaller on back increases gearing. I went from a 32T to a 34T on front pulley sprocket on the final drive belt.
With my "new" topend ( 5 yrs. ago) , S & S carb, and cam I have plenty of out of the hole power and she really lopes easier now at speed on the highway which is just fine for my riding style.
Sorry about the cornfusion.
