Welcome back from the darkside, this topic is popping up on forums more frequently.
By the way, you have a 2 week grace period to get your forum name changed or a name containing numbers past 2000 won't appear in the Evo section and after 2 weeks, we wll require you to give the bike to Schwangster until administration privledges are met. Rules are rules!
funny i sold my 06 twincam cause i was bored with it as well!!! i also went back to an evo!!! they are just fantastic machines!!
That is so cool. I can't wait to get back on one. My last EVO had an open belt and raked out (pics in my gallery) and I took that thing through hell and high water and my longest trip ever was on that old bike. That bike NEVER let me down. Then I buy the newer cush ride and don't even go that far. Go figure
congratulations on your new ride. it looks like a great one. i have an 08 streetglide, vivid black, and it seems like it's confusing when i try to find my bike at a rally or even outside of a harley shop. the yuppies done took over. i enjoy the heck out of it, but finally got an fxr a week or two ago. i'm all excited about it, and have it torn down in my shop. there's a lot of parts i need to replace, but it's a great core to start with. it looks like the one you found is already in great shape. good for you. back to the older, real harleys. twin cams can be nice, but seems like everyone has one. evo's do seem to stand out in a very good way.

Ahhh, "whats wrong with having the only Evo in the parking lot"
Okay guys. I didn't go with the springer. Lets just say I could not even ride it. Carb was WAY lean and the carb was dripping gas and both base gaskets were leaking like crazy and the tranny mainshaft seal. Go figfure. I told the guy if it caught fire (from the gas) I was jumping off and letting his bike burn. What a shame. And of course he was shocked I found leaks.
Anyway as luck would have it I found a very nice and clean 97 softail custom right down the road. The thing drove like a top and is an unmolested motor (until I pop an EV27 in it) Picking her up tomorrow. I plan to do a lot of little touches to it so I will do some before and after shots.
