As said before, she looks TONS better now. Yeah, got to love/hate the PO sense or NONsense of style!! That's what great about older Harleys we can make them into whatever we want. All you need is $$$ and some skill, properly and safely utilized. I am interested in the coil relocation the PO did and what was done with the original bracket back by the oil tank. Here is the way my bike will be looking most of the summer

But it's OK, I picked up an older dualsport to commute to work on! GREAT job so far, can't wait to see it all together.

soo close....

Jeff, I just finished fabbing an aluminum bracket to cover the (missing and poorly removed) coil bracket. The OEM coil mount was cut off and the ignition is mounted there now instead of the dash. This cover mounts to the remaining oil tank support and covers the ground down bracket and some of the wire loom for the ign. switch. Sorry about the poor pics. This is the bike as of this a.m. Still no speedo cable, but it'll get ridden today all the same.

Do you have any plans to move the ignition back to the dash where it belongs? Enjoy your ride!! Let us know how it does.

I don't think so. I like the look of the dash w just the speedo. Looks really clean. I'll take some better pic's later of the bracket and the dash.
