And that is why I wll never buy a new Harley ever again....all this iron out there, some very nicely equipped, and in like new condition for sometimes 1/2 of new retail.
How many of you guys remember the 1998 era disaster that Harley perpetrated on the public???? Remember 1 and 2 year waiting lists? People paying thousands over list price and scumbag resellers buying brand new bikes and re-listing them for huge profits? I'm sure most of you guys remember that. I would bet a dime to a dollar that this is one of those bikes that some "investor" bought, thinking that if he was to sit on it for twenty plus years he would triple his investment. Kind of like what happened to Hemi Cuda's and AC Cobra's. Thats my guess anyways.

Oh yeah I remember that crap. Harley dealer in western Illinois,by the river(won't mention any names)would bring bikes in,put on the extras they wanted to,marked the bike up like crazy. If you didn't like the options or the price, fine, they'd just call the next guy in line.
Had a friend in Iowa who owned a used car dealership.Bought one of these overpriced rigs.Sat on it for a couple years. By that time, things were back to normal, you could buy whatever you wanted at "normal" prices. Well....lets just say,he lost his azz, figured he'd make a bundle on an already way overpriced bike!!
