Hey all, I would sure appreciate some help from people who may have been down this road before.
I have a 1984 Electra Glide - FLHTC - and I am looking to change a few things to make it more "me" It does not have the faring, but does have a 2-gauge dash on it that I want to eliminate. I really want to go to more of a Road King type setup on it. But I am having a very hard time finding parts that people say will fit. I want to get a chrome narcelle for the headlight and I cant even find that?
I have a gas tank from a 96 Road King and a Seat from an 06 that I plan to use.
Also, has anyone tried to relocate the battery to under the seat? I want to use the newer style hard bags too
You're being very ambitious! Yes, someone on here has relocated the battery under the seat and fitted later saddlebags, but it is not common. There is a thread somewhere if you can hunt it out.
Making those sorts of changes to such an early bike is going to require a lot of determination. The RKs didn't come out until about ten years after your bike was made and there were a lot of subtle changes introduced at around the same time.
Let's hope someone with a bit more experience calls by soon!
