Default Oil filter part number?

Searched the forums but all I got was a bunch of stupid tech....

Need to change my oil today, but didn't do my planning and my local HD Dealership is closed on Sunday. Anyone got a part number for an oil filter that I can get locally (Autozone, Advance, ect....)

I use the Purolator ML16831 in black (also available in chrome). They are made in the USA, unlike K&N and some others. http://www.purolatorautofilters.net/...orhistory.aspx

Got this here: http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterXRef.html

These Oil Filters
have 3/4" x 16tpi threads,
8 psi by-pass valve,
anti-drain back valve.
and are about 3" / 3.5" long

Recommended filters in blue. Available filters include
Purolator PL14476 / PL14477
Mobil1 M1-102
Bosch 3330
Walmart Supertech ST4967 / 4386

AMSOil SMF 133/134/135
Baldwin B33 / B37
Fram PH4967
Hastings LF410 / LF 413
NAPA 1394
Purolator ML16822 replaced by ML16831
WIX 51394 / 51396

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone, local O'reilly had the Mobile one in stock, $13 but thats what I get for waiting. We never could find the micron number on it, but I compared it visually to my HD one and they were identical. guess I'll let yall know if it blows up on me...

All the purolator ML filters I have seen were made in China.

Don`t trust the filters called out for Harleys on this website, there are some errors.

Look them up and you will see...

I have an S&S motor in my bike and that is what S&S supply, boxed as Mobil 1, plus S&S badging.

Good deal, thanks. I monitored my oil pressure all the way to work this morning, and it seemed to run just like it did with the HD Filter on it.

I forgot how well my bike runs with everything adjusted right, lol spent about 6 hours on it yesterday replacing all the fluids, brakes, new air filter and a rejetted carb, along with a few other things. Feels like a brand new bike
