You might have to put your starter on the bench & have a look at your brushes!

Bendix starter clutch I's about to go out i agree.

Came across this thread while searching on 'starter'. My bike has been playing up recently and trying to start it earlier today the starter whirled around making the most unearthly noise. Just did it repeatedly, but didn't turn the engine over.

Does it sound as if my starter clutch is kaput?
