I'm running fab kevin's laser cut brackets. They were $150 though. Lets you get a pair of 4 piston tokico sport bike calipers off ebay from a GSXR-750 or whole host of other bikes. MASSIVE stopping power. Only problem is they require a 2000+ wheel to clear the spokes, and it's still CLOSE.
host of 2000-2007 calipers on ebay for ~ $100, plus $100 in brackets.
the FabKevin setup would be $560 for both sides up front...and at that point, for another ~ $150ish I can get a really slick looking set of PM 4pots
Thanks for the info guys
Well that's not quite right- you get his brackets for $150 and source a pair of tokico's for about $100. He gets his from ebay, cleans 'em up and charges a premium for the convenience. That's what I did- get 'em off ebay. If you call him, he'll give you a list of bikes and years that they can come from and still fit. Oh- they don't work on spoke wheels from what I've read, only the cast 2000+ wheels. But I didn't know about the dual piston conversion at the time.

his website lists them @ $255 for a single caliper + bracket. x2, plus shipping. anything can be found cheaper on ebay, but I'm not sure of the differences on models/whatever for tokicos, my luck i'd end up with a set that didn't fit. plus, something just doesn't feel right putting gsxr calipers on my road king.

You realize the front half of a harley is Japanese don't you? At least on a dyna it is. Showa forks- japan. Heck my HD head bolts I just bought say made in japan. At least it's not china.... Now if your talking about messing up a cruiser by putting sport bike parts on, I can see that...

the tubes are, insides are progressives
and yes, thats what I was getting at. they just look WAY out of place to me on a cruiser.
I hear ya. Just messing with you. I'm running racetech springs and gold valves myself. If I had a road king I'd figure out how to get touring or vrod brembos (Italian...) to fit.
I am just going over the money for a 2008+ setup in my head and it looks pricey. I am going the fabkevin route. $300 for moco brembos (boston craigslist, still pressurized w/ master cylinder, nope wouldn't trust bleed of somebody else), $200 for 11.8" rotors (2), $225 for chrome lowers (I have chrome already), $900 for a sweet 21" front wheel with tire. $1500, for upgraded 4-pots.
Did I mention that I am going with Fab Kevin...
The thing that chits me is that there are bugger all options for wire spoke wheels. My old FXR has about zero clearance between the spokes and the inside face of the caliper whcih is a killer. I have a set of tokico units in the shed gathering dust because they are too fat.
I have scored a set of 3 pot Nissin units from a jappa that may fit, so if they do I'll post a thread here.
