Cheesy expensive adapter.

So can I bolt lower legs from a newer model Heritage onto my '93? The brushed aluminum on my lowers don't look as good as they should and this would kill two birds with one stone.

OK, stupid question, can't you buy a pretty good set of aftermarket brakes and fit without the bracket?

I would think so. But I am digging the idea of newer lowers to clean them up.

I have 13" rotors and 6-pot calipers on my FLHS and can confirm they are darned expensive. Don't think I would make that mod today. All brakes can be improved by using after-market pads and braided hoses, as a less expensive way of sharpening them up. Also cleaning the calipers to make sure the pads and pistons move freely, along with fresh brake fluid can work wonders.
