Default Need help!!!!!

Well to start I have a 1998 Electra glide classic efi . My bike keeps die on me when im driving down the road. Just today i took the hole bike apart and looked at all the wires and looked at all the fuses, everything is good. I do not have any codes coming up. But when it dies I can let it sit for like 5 minutes and then it will start back up. It runs good when it does. I asked for help before and a few guys said the cam sensor and one guy said the crank sensor but would'nt there be a code pop up if one of them are bad? Also could it be my stator? Anything would help

In the tank. You should check the other things that people told you to check in you thread in the touring section first.

If it dies and then starts up 5 minutes later, it's probably one of two things. Fuel isn't getting through and after it sits, the problem is cured for a short time. This could be vapor lock, dirty filters or a plugged tank breather. The other would be heat related failure of electronics. Most common is the ignition system. Not sure if the fuel injection is the same computer on that bike. It could also be any one of the sending units or pickups.

Sorry this isn't much help, but the only way to find it is to test each item (when the bike won't run) or start replacing parts. (Throwing money at a problem like this can get real expensive, real fast without solving the issue unless you get lucky and guess right early on.)

Wife and I visited Oshkosh in 2003 as part of the Centenary celebrations. What you need most of all is the factory service manual for your bike, which will provide all manner of diagnostic stuff and help you follow the tips given so far.

Default electrical

Get a electrical tester harbor freight http://www.harborfreight.com/7-funct...ter-90899.html and start checking for power this you can dial in rather quickly, The manual is the first item, then the tester. Has anything changed on the bike? high compression? cams? sparkplugs? Everyone is helpful here. If you have a problem someone here knows your pain...Good luck.

Yeah, like Graham sez, start with the factory shop manual. Next, check for spark when it is acting up. Tell us what you find and we'll go from there.

Also check fuel pressure, M&M are notorious for pressure regulator and pump issues, just like the new ones.

I had a loose ground on my starter that caused similar issues.
