Whew, scared the crap out of me. Any thoughts or is there something I need to check?

Great thread as I was getting ready to inquire about the same. Lately my RK is like a wild pig above 70 on the expressway. Changing lanes and long sloping on/off ramps get the thing swaying all over the damn place which results in an uncomfortable headshake that begins. I HATE IT and Im pretty sure people watching from behind start to get a little uncomfortable.

I hear everyone goes with poly bushings on the swingarm?

If your bike has started doing this recently, something on it has changed or worn out! Give everything a thorough check over before thinking of changing anything, as suggested earlier.

What condition is your rear tyre? If the tread is getting low, replace it.

Let us know if it cures the problem.

I had similar problems on my 88 FLHT replaced the cleve bloc(definately worn out) with spherical bearing set up from custom cycle engineering. Much more stable.

Even when new the cleve blocks were not the best things for good handling! Fortunately Harley changed them for steel bushings later on in Evo production, so they may not be a problem here.
