make sure the pieces have been assembled and all work on them is done so that you don't have to mess up the powdercoat. Ask if the powdercoater uses plugs in the thread or you will have to run a tap in them. Also ask for local references and go look at the work. Hope this helps.
What he said above about the threads and also mark off where the motor and tranny sits in the frame so you can leave that spot bare. Powder Coating is great for a frame. I actually did a more dull black (called kenworth black) on my old chopper and it looked perfect.

Plus tape over the frame serial number so it can also be reveled when finished. Did the wife's FXEF in gloss black. Only problem was where the axle passes through the swing arm. The Large washers mess up the power coat when you adjust the chain tension. I would probably just tape that off also and paint it black after, maybe from one inch in front of the adjustment slot to the end of the swing arm.
