Default Engine ID problem

I bought an Inner primary, clutch pack for my bike (you older members remember my problems). Won't fit! When I line it up on the transmission I have a 1/2" gap between the inner primary and the engine. Plus only 1/2" of transmission shaft showing. PO told me it was a 1988 FXR motor and tranny. Had an E84 clutch and primary on it. So I went and checked engine ID number. After much searching there is no number on the left case. There is a number on the right outer case front. 7000 310 17. These do not match any of Harley's numbers. The jugs do have a Harley ID number on them, listing them as Harley-Davidson 1340 CC jugs. it is a rubber mount motor and a harley 5spd tranny. Any help? I cannot locate this nuber.

Between the jugs on the left side reads NITRALLOY if that helps.

Just got off the phone with HD in Milwaukkee Wis. Not a HD block. So I'm stuck. Have no Idea the Year model or who makes it. Every thing else is HD.

Find an indy shop that has been around awhile.
There will be someone around 50 years old that will know what you have. It was common to mix after maket parts with HD EVO parts

Seems to be an aftermarket block. Is there an id on the tranny?

Evo cases are all the same... on how they bolt up to the primary...the primary just needs to match the trans/frame set-up. Post some pics of the primary, and someone will help you out

Bama, Nitralloy cases were made by Sputhe, They were available in different sizes, stock to very large bore. If you contact them with those numbers perhaps they could tell you more. How about some pictures of the other problem, remember a picture is worth a thousand words.
