Default Are these EZ install?

Just popped the pushrod covers off for the first time ever - at least since the EV-27 went in 13+ years ago....

Anyway - I've got loud tapping from the lifters (I think) and was checking to see if I had adjustables.

The number on the pushrods were EVL E-7001R. Those come up on the vThunder page, but doesn't say if they are EZ install or not. Does anyone know, or is there any way to tell without trying and failing at pulling them out without removing the rocker covers?

If it doesn't say EZ-install in the literature, then it probably isn't.

My SE ones didn't say EZ install but they were.....I would suggest looking up the installation instructions online.

Set one so the valve is fulley closed, lossen the pushrod right off, if you can remove it then its easy install.

Usually in the product info, or tech sheet will tell you if they are quick/easy/etc install.

I had some tapping once and it turned out to be bent pushrods.
I think I would try spinning them in place first to see if any are bent.
If you are sure they have to come out then I would just try to remove them as if they were ez install and if they don't come out you are no worse off than you were before.
No matter what ez-intall pushrods you install you need the tech sheet as they are different (at least the 2 different brands I have used were) so if you don't have or can't find the tech sheet you will have to get new ones anyway.

Good Luck

Speaking of turning them in place --

I noticed that the one I uncovered did not spin uniformly. It got harder to turn and easier to turn as I turned it around. Is that indicative of a bent rod?
