Were the bushings (as I'll call them) a problem on earlier years. Had the bike jacked up The swing arm has some side movement. I didn't measure it but certainly enough to feel. My boss suggested I take to an Indy shop he uses. Thought I'd see what they say. Dropped the bike off, they called me this morning. They said they needed to install a kit. An Upgraded Swingarm kit rather than trying to fix what's there. 312.00 Kit (uses bearings) rather than the bushings) then about 350.00 in labor. This sound in the ball park to y'all? Thanks WP

Earlier Evos had 'cleve block' bushings, which are best kicked out of your bike. Later Harleys had steel bushings, which are a steel spherical design carried over onto TCs, possibly up to the latest bikes. There are several alternative after-market kits, any of which are better than cleve blocks!

I looked into that after Dodson mentioned he had one in post 2. Have to many things going on right now to tackle it. I was going after a vibe and cking the things and found a small amount of slack in the swing arm. Took it to an indy that was recommended. 601.54 latter I got new isolators and swing arm kit. Vibe is still there but I gotta admit it improved the handling in accelerating in a hard corner. Have ridden 2 friends bikes one 97 classic and the other a 96 EG like mine. Theirs has half (if not less) the vibe mine does a t 1500 2000 rpm. LOL we gotta love'em don't we WP
