Default 1984 flh

I know where there is a 84 FLH, pretty clean looking for the year and sounds great. I might consider it as a collectible I can ride. Mileage is wrong as speedo has been changed, but the way I look at it to keep an AMF Evo running this long it must have been maintained pretty well and kept up yo date.

Not an AMF, but sounds like a nice ride. AMF sold back to Willie G. and his crew in 1981.

Hey Bikerlaw, you are right of course. My memory ain't what it used to be, I should have done a little refresher work before posting. Thanks' for the catch! It's still a really cool looking bike though.

I would say take it for a ride. I rode an 83 from the dealer before the rubber mounting, shook like a beast. Didn't really bother me cause I was only 26 at the time. To be honest, I wasn't that all impressed with it at the time. The style is the same as my current 90 fxrs-sp. I don't recall it being an evo, just an 80" shovel, but I'm old and my memory not so good. my bad. But, I do remember it being a 5 speed.

Not yet, I just brought home a 98 Fatboy today, don't need the OL throwing a hissy fit right now. The FLH ain't going anywhere for now, in fact it's in storage for the last couple of years, so I'm just going to cool it for a few weeks or so, then maybe bring it home for a winter restoration.

Hi Warrconn. No it's kind of rounded, actually very similar to the fatboy except the choke **** is in the middle of the dash below the speedo.

1984 was the last year of the shovel in touring bikes, so an Evo engined FLH may be a 1985 model first registered late in 1984. Be interesting to see some photos! I test rode a red '85 FLH at Daytona, while riding a hired FLT!
